The Yatan Life Direction Program

When we were small, adults always seemed to be asking us what we would like to do when we grew up. By the time we reach our 20s we really ought to know the answer to that question, but the reality is that countless people of all ages would desperately like to change their direction in life. There are many reasons for this; parents often have unrealistic aspirations for their offspring or our teachers may have failed to recognise our talents. In either case we may well find ourselves pursuing a path that we know is not right for us. It is also all too common for people to grasp at any opportunity for employment simply because they need the money. Palm reading (palmistry) , face reading (physiognomy) and Vedic astrology (Indian astrology) all have their place in helping people who find themselves in this type of situation.

So why is it that instead of chasing the life they dream of so many people keep chasing the one they don’t want? The answer is often fear either of the unknown or of challenging what they have been taught to look for in their lives. The most common questions that fill the mind are:

  • How do I go about making a change?
  • Will I be able to do it?
  • What if I don’t like it?
  • Will I be able to make a living out of it?
  • Am I too old to make a change like this?
  • Is it foolish to walk away from my ‘security’?

There can be good and bad reasons for seeking change in life path. The desire to copy another person cannot be considered a good reason neither does parental guidance nor inspiration from others always lead us in the right direction. It is a small wonder that so many people are in need of guidance in choosing the right path.

It is to cater for this need that the Yatan life direction program was developed. The program goes much further than simply offering inspiration. A number of parameters have to be in agreement before one can be certain that the path to be followed is a sensible one. To this end the consultation draws on all the components of the Yatan holistic system. An Ayurvedic assessment first determines the doshic type, which gives a great deal of information with regard to individual strengths and weaknesses. Palm reading (palmistry) and physiognomy (face reading) reveal physical, mental and emotional characteristics. Astrological star signs, horoscope and numerology influences are also explored and last but not least, Tantra-Mantra techniques provide the tools for effective affirmation and meditation.

People who have benefited from a life direction consultation have come from all manner of backgrounds. One man who had trained and qualified as an engineer decided to leave his profession and completely re-train as a doctor. A girl who had many talents was torn between art, music and design. Her doshic assessment showed her to be a Vata-Pitta type, whereas artists are typically Pitta-Vata. Design was also unlikely to be a suitable choice as the Vata-Pitta type thrives on physical activity. She finally settled on landscaping – an excellent choice for somebody who is both artistic and active.

The Yatan life direction program will enable you to see your possibilities and to know which life path is best for you. It will also help you to overcome the blocks that have prevented you from moving forward, and will provide you with the nuts and bolts to facilitate change.
