Wrinkles – Not Just On The Outside

There seems no limit to the trouble that people will go to in an attempt to banish wrinkles from their skin.  From moisturizers to botox, from dermabrasion to cosmetic surgery, the war against these signs of aging has become a multi-billion dollar industry. But what in the meantime is happening deep inside?

The skin does not wrinkle from the outside inwards. Indeed, the opposite could be said to be true. When the body’s tissues are lacking in nutrients they dry out internally as well; in fact, the gut wall is one of the first victims and the need for rejuvenation here is much more pressing, as a dry, cracked digestive tract can have repercussions in all the body systems.

The Yatan Yoga program seeks to repair all the body tissues, mainly from within.

It achieves this in a variety of ways:

  • Ayurveda has herbal medicines for the repair and rejuvenation of the digestive tract.
  • Dietary advice is tailored to the body type.  Certain foods, e.g. avocados, okra, taro, and oats are all helpful in lubricating the digestive tract.  Other foods will need to be avoided, according to the individual dosha type.
  • Individually prepared exercise regimes followed simultaneously will assist in the transport of nutrients and in helping the medicines to work better.
  • Massage with special oils will also improve circulation and energy flow and encourage the removal of toxins.
  • A Panchakarma detoxification program can further enhance the rejuvenation of the tissues.

Appropriate recommendations are made following an individual consultation. The rewards will soon reflect outwardly as well as being felt within.
