Ayurvedic Face Reading (Physiognomy) and Palmistry

The Practical Benefits Of Face Reading

The human face is an indicator of many things and for this reason Ayurveda has always utilised face reading (Physiognomy) as an important tool for assessment. By observing a person’s face we can learn much about their mind, emotions and character, about their life direction, their Karma, their past, present and future, as well as foreseeing the health concerns they are likely to face in the future.

Face reading is just one part of the Samudrik Shastra – the ancient science which interprets the features of the body as a basis for interpreting the future; another popular branch of this science is palmistry. It is believed that a seer named Samudra was its original proponent and he wrote a detailed study describing how all of a person’s characteristics are influenced by the planets and how these characteristics are revealed in the shape of the face, which will often resemble a particular animal or bird.

Dog-faced people tend to be loyal and make good servants, while crow-faced people can be selfish and devious. They are often intelligent and focused and know what they want in life. Monkey-faced people are interested in material things and money while bull-faced people are industrious, obedient and humble.
