Description

Lakshadi Oil (Thailam) is a classic Ayurvedic preparation made by infusing a blend of  15+ pure herbs into a base of nourishing black sesame oil. This traditional formula is valued for supporting healthy, vibrant skin and tissues, as well as its role in daily oil massage rituals.

Key botanicals such as Turmeric and Manjistha have long been treasured in Ayurveda for promoting a clear, radiant complexion and maintaining youthful skin. The base of black sesame oil—considered the most esteemed of Ayurvedic seed oils—acts as a deeply conditioning carrier, making it ideal for full-body massage (Abhyanga).

Traditionally, Lakshadi Massage Oil is used as a general skin protector and is suitable for all ages. It is especially renowned for its role in infant massage, where it is used as part of nurturing care practices that help to relax the body, provide relief from gas and colic, support growth and development, and foster restful sleep.

In post-partum care, Lakshadi Oil is appreciated for its ability to support circulation, ease swelling, and gently tone muscles during recovery. Regular massage can help lubricate joints in the pelvic area, relieve stiffness, soothe the nerves, promote healthy skin tone, and encourage a gradual return to the body’s natural balance after childbirth.
