Severe pain due to post surgery

I have my own personal experience for taking Ayurvedic preparations to treat post surgery pain. In 2003 I was working in my dispensary and fell off a chair cutting my right index and middle fingers severely, 90% of my tendons were cut and 95% of my nerves, that required 4 hours microsurgery in hospital. After the surgery the doctor told me that I would be in a lot of pain due to the damage done to my tendons and nerves and to relieve this pain I should take 2 paracetamol up to 4 times a day. I took one paracetamol and as this was the first time in my life to take chemical medicine I felt quite ill from it. I then decided not to take anymore paracetamol and was discharged the next day. By the time I reached my home I was in a lot of pain and knew that I needed to take some medicine to relieve it. I meditated for some time to receive an answer as to which preparation would be most suitable. I came up with two formulas and asked my wife to make them up for me. I took the first dose and felt relief within 10-15 mins. I then went to bed and slept through the night for 6 hours. The next day the pain returned and so I took another dose of the medicine. I continued with this medicine taking it 4 times a day for a month, then reduced the dose to 3 times a day for the next month and then twice a day for the third month. After that I continued to take the medicine for a following 3 months but only when I felt pain in my fingers.

During the first month I had to see the doctor every week for a check-up. He was impressed with the rate at which my fingers were healing and said that another man who had been sharing the same room as me in the hospital had had 2.5 hours microsurgery for a very similar injury to his fingers and suffering from repeated infections to the wound. After the third and final month of check-ups the doctor was again impressed with the speed and success of my healing and that my fingers had regained proper function with only slight loss of strength.
