I went to see Raman Das for chronic urinary tract infections that had been troubling me for nearly 10 years. I was having them about every second month and especially after sexual intercourse. I’d had repeated courses of antibiotics, tried every herbal remedy imaginable, paid close attention to hygiene and nothing helped. I always felt as if I was addressing the symptoms and not the actual source of the problem. I have to say that even my husband (who is a pharmaceutical sales rep) was impressed by the results of the treatment from Raman Das. The herbs worked beautifully. At one point the infection reoccurred and Raman Das increased the dosage. To be honest, it didn’t clear up straight away, but took a bit of time. I persisted in taking my medication and following the diet that Raman Das gave me. I am SO HAPPY to say that the infection cleared up and I have NEVER had another one! What a relief!
About 3 years later after having 2 babies 16 months apart! I was feeling very run down. I was crying for no apparent reason, having difficulty getting out of bed, tired through the day, restless at night and unable to wake for morning meditation practice. My emotions were all over the place and at times I felt quite depressed. My iron levels were normal and there didn’t appear to be any medical “reason.” So I went to see Raman Das again. He said I was experiencing a kind of post natal depression and that my body needed rejuvenating after having had 2 children so close together. I took the herbs he recommended to the best of my ability, but wasn’t able to fit in the yoga practice. I was concerned because the medicine didn’t work as quickly as before. Raman Das encouraged me to continue taking the herbs, and, as I knew his medicine worked so well before, I trusted him and kept going with them.
After 2 months, I felt much better. I am emotionally stable, waking refreshed in the morning and happy to be looking after my two toddlers.
I can’t thank Raman Das enough for the compassionate care he has given me and the wonderful herbs that helped me when nothing else worked. My quality of life is so much better because of him and Ayurvedic medicine.
