“Ayurvedic Massage Regenerates
and Rejuvenates the Life Force—Prana”
PRACTICAL AYURVEDIC MASSAGE
Presenter: Raman
Das Mahatyagi
Ayurvedic Practitioner (B.Sc, Dip.Yoga,
Ayurveda-Ratna)
This workshop will be beneficial for everybody who would
like to know how to do massage in daily life either as a
professional massage therapist or to do on ones self.
This workshop will demonstrate how massage is very useful in
supporting the health and well-being of our bodies. It will
help you to be able to assess the patient’s or your own
problem.
In Australia the climatic conditions and intense sun
aggravate the vata element in most people. Due to the
vata imbalance our skin becomes drier, wrinkled,
cracked and feels tight, this in turn will agitate our minds
during the day. Raman Das first realized this about
his own skin and then with that of his patients.
In Ayurveda it was found that with the daily use of
Ayurvedic massage oils, the skin became more flexible, less
dry and wrinkled and the mind calmer. All the different
doshas can benefit from daily massage as there are
Ayurvedic oils suitable for all constitutional types.
